Load a font file or name one installed on this machine, pick the languages, and see which marks the font draws itself, which it quietly borrows from another font, and which it does not have at all. The font is read in your browser with FontFace and is never uploaded anywhere.

Glyph coverage

Every character a rule can insert, and the letters of each language that fonts most often lack. Own means the font draws it; borrowed means another font draws it and the reader sees a mark in the wrong face; none means no font here draws it at all. A borrowed or missing mark belongs in avoid.

The config for this font

Paste this into the typography key of your package.json, or into a typo --config file. Every rule that would insert one of these characters leaves the text as it was typed.

In a browser you can leave avoid out: TypographyRoot measures the page’s own font and fills it in (avoidMissing).

Set in this font

The example of each language you picked, typeset by the engine and set in the font at two measures, with hanging punctuation on. This is where a borrowed mark shows itself.

A text preset

A starting point for body text in this font, measured from the font itself: the size, a line height on the 8px grid, a measure of 45 to 90 characters, and how far its quote marks should hang. The advice on measure and line height is editorial, not research.
